Alesso delli Castelli / James Krone / Maxwell Simmer, Anteriors – Kunstverein am Rosa–Luxemburg

The Verein zur Förderung von Kunst und Kultur am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz e.V. is proud to present Anteriors, an evening of performance, poetry and music from artists Alessio delli Castelli, James Krone, and Maxwell Simmer. Performed consecutively, the evening will begin with delli Castelli playing his EP album Time Passes (2007). James Krone will then present his first performance work Illegible Deposit (2011). And finally, Maxwell Simmer will read selections from his newest suite of poems, Love And Guts (2011). The reception will be from 6 to 9 Pm, performances will begin at 7:30 PM.

Alessio delli Castelli
(b. 1979 in York, UK) lives and works in Berlin. Recent exhibitions include these matters that with myself I too much discuss, too much explain (2011, curated by Cornelia and Holger Lund) at General Public, Berlin, and Testing Stage – Long Night of Artists´ Music (2011, curated by Katrin Dod), Hebbel Am Ufer 2, Berlin, Books, Books Grew Of Themselves (2009) at AC Galerie, Berlin. Castelli received his Pianoforte Complementary Diploma from the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan in 2010.

James Krone
(b. 1975 in Chicago, USA) lives and works in Berlin. Select recent exhibitions include Trickle Down Ergonomics (2010), Kavi Gupta Gallery, Chicago, The Wilderness Is The Witches Leash (2010), Country Club Projects, Los Angeles, Vivere Country Group Show (2010), Grimmuseum, Berlin, and Made For Each Other (2007), Schalter, Berlin.

Maxwell Simmer
(b. 1981 in Vancouver, CA) is a Berlin-based artist and co-founder of Larry’s. He is currently pursuing his MFA at Bard College in New York. Recent exhibitions include Office Special (2010) at Croy Nielsen, Berlin, Chrystal Gallery/Exhibition One (2010) at Gentili Apri, Berlin.
