Der Verein zur Förderung von Kunst und Kultur am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz e.V. ist eine private Initiative, deren Ziel eine aktive Partizipation an der Erweiterung des kulturellen Angebotes im städtischen Umfeld des Rosa-Luxemburg-Platzes ist.
Den Schwerpunkt der Aktivitäten bildet die jährliche Organisation eines umfangreichen Kunstprojektes im öffentllichen Raum und ein Ausstellungsprogramm in seinen Räumen wobei der Verein für alle Genres (bildende Kunst, Film, Literatur) offen ist.
Durch die Initiierung spezifischer Kunstprojekte strebt der Verein eine kontinuierliche Auseinandersetzung mit der facettenreichen Geschichte des ehemaligen Scheunenviertels mit dem Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz an. Ein besonderes Anliegen des Vereins ist es deshalb, dass alle initiierten Projekte ausgehend von der urbanen und architektonischen Situation des Viertels unterschiedliche Aspekte des städtischen Lebens vor Ort reflektieren. Dabei wird eine Kooperation mit Kunst- und Kultureinrichtungen des Stadtteils angestrebt, um eine möglichst breite Öffentlichkeit zu erreichen.

The Association for the Promotion of Art and Culture on Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz e.V. is a private initiative whose aim is to actively participate in the expansion of cultural offerings in the urban environment of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz.
The focus of the Association’s activities is the annual organization of an extensive art project in the public space and a programming exhibitions in it’s space, where all genres (visual arts, film, literature) are considered.
By initiating specific art projects, the Association strives for a continuous analysis of the multifaceted history of the former barn area with the Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. It is therefore a particular concern of the Association that all projects initiated reflect different aspects of urban life on the ground, based on the urban and architectural situation of the district. A cooperation with art and cultural institutions of the district is sought in order to reach the widest possible public.
