‚My Voice Will Go With You‘ ist eine Sentenz des amerikanischen Psychiaters Milton Erickson, der Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts erstmals Hypnose regelmäßig in seiner therapeutischen Praxis angewendet hat. Die Ausstellung von Nika Radić im Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz spielt mit ericksonischen Elementen der Hypnose, um den Besuchern andere Möglichkeiten der Betrachtung der Umgebung anzubieten und die Parallelen zwischen Hypnose und Kunstwerk als Medium und Methode zu zeigen. Die drei Elemente dieser Hypnotherapie – Verwirrung, Konzentration und Metapher – spiegeln sich in der Struktur der Präsentation. Die Rauminstallation, deren zentrale Elemente eine Fotoserie und ein Video sind, spricht die Besucher*innen direkt an und lädt im Sinne Ericksons zu individuellen Betrachtungsweisen ein.

‚My Voice Will Go With You‘ is a statement by the American psychiatrist Milton Erickson, who first used hypnosis regularly in his therapeutic practice in the mid-20th century. Nika Radić’s exhibition at the Kunstverein on Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz plays with Ericksonian elements of hypnosis in order to offer visitors other options for viewing the surroundings and to show the parallels between hypnosis and artwork as a medium and method. The three elements of this hypnotherapy – confusion, concentration and metaphor – are reflected in the structure of the presentation. The spatial installation, the central elements of which are a series of photos and a video, addresses the visitors directly and invites them to take an individual approache to the interpretation.
